PTC

(Parent Teacher Club)

The Centreville Academy PTC welcomes you to the 2010-1011 school year.  We hope that together we can help make this a GREAT year for our students and teachers.

The PTC is a group of parent volunteers who work TOGETHER with our teachers to help organize and implement fundraisers and other activities for our school.  The PTC is essential to the continuing excellence of our school and we always need more volunteers.

The officers for the 2010-2011 school year are as follows:

President:  Wendy Aaron

Vice-Presidents:  Dana Clark, Benita McKey, Shain Jett, and Julie Robinson

Secretary:  Kim McDaniel

Treasure:  Jenny McKey

Office Representative:  Carolyn Darden

Our meetings are held the second Monday of every month at 6:30pm in the high school library.  Attending these meetings is a good way to meet other parents and to learn what is going on at our school.  YOU, as a parent/guardian of a student at CA, are an AUTOMATIC member of the PTC and we need YOUR help.

The PTC’s main goal is to assist and support our teachers.  The fundraisers that we do throughout the year provide money for us to make purchases of much needed items for the teachers and classrooms, thus benefiting our students.

The following is a list of just a few things provided by the PTC with monies raised recently:

v      Books to libraries and teachers from proceeds from the book fairs

v      Renewed the Edline Interactive Program

v      Sent Quiz Bowl team to three tournaments
